To commemorate the opening of the Tokyo Olympics on July 23, 2021, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's Blue Impulse exhibited and flew over Tokyo, drawing the Olympic symbol over Tokyo for the first time in 57 years since the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
